The Federation of Overseas Property Developers, Agents and Consultants (FOPDAC) has praised the Turkish property development market...
Arlette Adler, spokesperson for the group, said that its dealings with Turkish property developers had shown them to be "highly professional".
She also said that there had been "no problems" with developers in the sector - praise indeed considering the myriad of difficulties that can arise in an industry as complex as real estate development.
One particular area of their business that Turkish property developers were complimented for was their awareness of legal issues.
"In our experience, if you’re dealing with a Turkish developer, he will tell you which are the restricted zones and where you would be in danger of the law if you did build there," Ms Adler explained.
This quality of supply is an important factor in a market as popular as property in Turkey. Second homes in the country have become particularly popular with British buyers owing to its status as a successful tourist destination.
