Home.co.uk Helps Red Cross Open Gardens For Charity

The British Red Cross once again launches its Open Garden season with the publication of the Open Garden brochure. This year's brochure has kindly been sponsored by Home.co.uk, who have been supporting the work of the British Red Cross for the past couple of years.

"It's great to have the support from Home.co.uk, they've also put our details and our work on their web pages encouraging their clients to support our vital work," said Fundraising manager Sally Cater. "It's important that we promote our Open Gardens as they bring in a great source of income to the charity, with Home.co.uk's help we are able to get more brochures out to more people, hopefully increasing the number of visitors at each garden."

The £1,500 that Home.co.uk have kindly donated has been used to promote the Open Garden season with the hope of raising over £14,000 which could provide 28 tents for families displaced by conflict or disaster. It really shows that by supporting us in this way we can make an even bigger difference.

"We are proud to support the much needed and appreciated work of the Red Cross in the UK and overseas," commented Doug Shephard, Director of Home.co.uk. "The Red Cross' training and professionalism ensure that they are always ready and able to help those in crisis. This was highlighted most recently in helping ease the plight of the many made homeless by the disastrous flooding in the UK in 2007, particularly in South Yorkshire."
