News: Agent says 25% boost in lettings is down to more use of PropTech

A lettings management agency in Cardiff says it has boosted business by a quarter in the past year, mostly thanks to greater use of technology.

Jeffrey Ross Estate Agents, a family-run business with three offices in the city, now claims to be the number one lettings agency in Cardiff thanks to introducing Virtual Reality viewings and offering overseas customers viewings via Facetime, Skype and VR.

One office alone completed nearly 450 lettings between January and mid-August this year, beating its nearest rival by nearly 250 lets, the firm says.

“We like to bring innovation and good old-fashioned customer service together to give our clients the best service possible and it is obviously paying off” says managing director Ross Hooper-Nash.

The company is also launching a handyman service for landlords to take the stress out of the day to day management and maintenance of rental properties.

“As generation rent grows, there’s going to be more call for first-class lettings management for landlords to be able to get the best yields for their properties. We are also working with local technology companies to innovate our lettings management systems and offer the best and most efficient service to our tenants and landlords” says Hooper-Nash.
