One of America's best-known recording studios where music greats such as John Lennon, Stevie Wonder, Billy Joel, The Rolling Stones, Madonna, U2, Lenny Kravitz, Mariah Carey, Notorious B.I.G. and Jay-Z recorded their gold and platinum albums is being transformed into a luxury condominium.  Located at 421 West 54 Street, just off Ninth Avenue, The Hit Factory will offer the ultimate in high-end living in a building infused with rich musical history.

The building will include 27 one-, two- and three-bedroom loft-style residences, including six penthouse duplexes with private terraces.  Homes will range from 1,100 to 3,400 sf and are priced from approximately $1.1 million to more than $4 million.  The seven-story condominium is expected to be ready for occupancy in early 2007.

The Hit Factory will offer a gracious array of services and amenities, including an expansive 2,000-sf roof deck with stunning views of the Manhattan skyline as well as a fully-equipped, state-of-the-art fitness center. Keyed-entry elevators will provide security and privacy, as well as convenience, with direct access to the roof deck.

Architect Arpad Baksa’s stunning architecture and Joanna Frank’s innovative interior design combined with The Hit Factory’s storied musical past have resulted in unique and inviting living and common spaces. Upon entering the lobby, residents and guests will pass under the original signage for The Hit Factory, which still shines above the entryway.  The interior lobby will be surrounded by steel-and-stone panels that will feature a wall display of the multiple gold and platinum records recorded at The Hit Factory by acclaimed artists such as Paul Simon, John Lennon, Barbra Streisand and Bruce Springsteen.

Valcucine kitchens will boast modern Italian design and state-of-the-art equipment with environmentally-conscious materials.  Appliances will include Sub-Zero and Viking stainless steel refrigerators, Miele cooktops, Bosch wall ovens and Sub-Zero wine refrigerators.  Stainless steel cabinetry and honed granite countertops will create the perfect blend of practicality and style.

Master baths will include frameless glass enclosed showers, Waterworks chrome fixtures, a Kohler “Tea for Two” cast-iron soaking tub and polished limestone tiles, creating a private sanctuary for residents.  Secondary baths and powder rooms will continue in the residences’ sleek style with Duravit fixtures.
