Spanish property investors will be happy to hear that the city of San Sebastian has been named one of the world’s best summer locations...
The Basque town was described as the "perfect setting" for a luxurious weekend break in a report in the Guardian.
Tourism is one of the main supporting factors of the Spanish property market and San Sebastian is among travellers' favourite Iberian destinations, partly owing to its curved, sun-drenched bay surrounded by rolling green hills.
San Sebastian’s restaurants possess no fewer than 15 Michelin stars, the Guardian points out, while the city is also known for its lively tapas bars.
Other cities in the Guardian’s list of top summer locations included Berlin, which was praised for its culture and Stockholm, which hosts an annual jazz festival as well as summer celebrations on June 23rd.
The more traditionally popular locations of New York and Amsterdam also featured in the top five list.
