News: New flights boost for Greece investors

Further flights between the UK and Greece could fuel increased Brit interest in Greek property...

GB Airlines has increased the number of flights this summer between the UK and the Greek islands of Crete, Rhodes, Corfu and Mykonos.

The reduction in journey times and ferry transfers should mean it becomes quicker and easier for many owners of Greek property to reach their holiday homes.  This is also great news for investors considering Greece as an investment destination, as one of the key factors attracting overseas investors to a given market is the ease of access and good transport links.

The Greek tourist industry was recently boosted by the country's excellent performance in the 2007 Blue Flag awards.  Its gorgeous blue seas and miles of untouched coastline took home 430 Blue Flags, the second highest of any country.

Blue Flag awards are presented to beaches and marinas that adhere to a number of strict criteria, including compliance with water quality standards and recyclable waste facilities

Britons with property in Greece can enjoy year-round sunshine, beautiful beaches beach and some of the oldest and most bewitching archaeological monuments in Europe.
