News: Germans flying high over Bulgaria

Fri, 04 Apr 08

German investors looking into Bulgaria have a new reason to be cheerful...

Low-cost carrier Germanwings announced the launch of bargain flights from the Cologne/Bonn and Berlin/Schoenefeld airports in Germany to Burgas and Varna airports in Bulgaria. The first flights will be conducted in the beginning of May this year.

A spokesperson for Germanwings explained: "Flights from Burgas to Cologne-Bonn and back will be serviced on Tuesdays and Sundays, while flights between Burgas and Berlin/Schoenefeld will be carried out on Wednesdays and Sundays. Flights between Varna and the two German airports will be conducted on Saturdays".

Robin King, movewithus founding director, recently highlighted Germany's increasing prosperity: “Germany’s economy seems to be roaring ahead despite warnings of recession in other markets. This increases German spending power and the demand for domestic property.”

Mr King added: "Despite a strengthening Euro, the country is becoming more and more affluent. German home-movers are increasingly using their new-found wealth to purchase property in the historic and cultural epicentre of the country in Berlin. Centrally located off-plan property is especially popular, due to its prestigious location and individuality".
