News: England leads UK rent rises

England leading the rise in rental rates in the UK, according to the latest ONS figures.

Private rental prices paid by tenants in Great Britain rose by 2.5 per cent in 2015. England led the way with a rise of 2.7 per cent, following by Scotland (0.9 per cent) and Wales (0.7 per cent).

Rental prices increased in all the English regions over the year to December 2015, with rental prices increasing the most in London (3.9 per cent).
