News: ID fraud can be a laughing matter

CreditExpert.co.uk, the online credit monitoring and identity fraud service from Experian, has announced a sponsorship agreement with writer and stand-up comedian, Bennett Arron, as he takes his latest show to The Edinburgh Festival.

Arron is a real victim of identity theft, and his show "It Wasn't Me, It Was Bennett Arron", which is playing at The Edinburgh Festival, gives a disturbingly true and funny account of what it's like to have your identity stolen.

Jim Hodgkins, Managing Director of CreditExpert.co.uk , comments: "It is not every day in business that one finds an opportunity to support an artistic initiative with such relevance. Bennett Arron's new show offers an hilarious account of his experience with identity theft and also helps to raise the profile of this unpleasant crime, which is, unfortunately, increasingly common."

"It Wasn't Me, It Was Bennett Arron" is playing at The Underbelly in Edinburgh from August 4th until August 12th inclusive. Time: 5pm. Ticket Prices £8.00 or £7.00 with proof of I.D. of course.

In the meantime, consumers worried about their credit rating may consider CreditExpert - an annually renewable subscription membership service priced at £49.99 per year, allowing unlimited online access to your credit report.

The service comes with a free 30-day trial period that allows members to see and use all the service's benefits. In addition, CreditExpert comes with a 90-day pro-rata refund, should a member decide they wish to cancel.

The service was the first of its kind in the UK to provide consumers with unlimited online access to their complete credit history. This means viewing not only public information such as county court judgments, bankruptcies and electoral roll entries, but also details of loans, loan terms and their full repayment history, as well as the sources of the information and details of any organisation that has searched the report.

Having access to this type of information could save you a lot of heartbreak later on.
