Mortgage Glossary: Building Societies Association (BSA)

Building Societies Association (BSA)

The trade Association representing interests of member societies. It has seen its numbers shrink in recent years as names such as the Abbey National and Cheltenham and Gloucester gave up their "mutual" status. For this reason, the BSA's future voice is in doubt. Another organisation, the Council of Mortgage Lenders (CML) is taking on an increasingly significant role.

The BSA can be found at:

6th Floor, York House,
23 Kingsway
London WC2B 6UJ
Telephone: 020 7520 5900
Fax: 020 7240 5290
