Propertiesdirect is the UK's first and only Internet portal exclusively for Private Property Sales. Propertiesdirect was formed in response to moves by Estate Agents to restrict the ability of Private Sellers to advertise properties nationally on agent-owned property portals and other portals dependent on Estate Agent business.
Propertiesdirect allows any Private Property site to upload unlimited private sale or rental property descriptions but does not allow Agents to advertise. Property particulars, photographs, floorplans and even automatic EPCs (Energy Performance Certificates) can be shown for all properties for sale or rental. All responses to the listings are then linked back to the originating website. They also display contributors' logos on their homepage and offer an advertising link to advertisers on their sellers' page.
At the time of writing, Propertiesdirect has around 36 registered private sales sites advertising between 2-3000 properties at any given time. This number is steadily rising with time and this concentration of properties for sale privately together with the consequent number of visitors is attracting significant search engine attention.
The primary function of Propertiesdirect is to maintain a high position in natural search-engine searches on behalf of the advertisers to compete co-operatively with the advertising strength of the Agents. To do this the major part of Propertiesdirect's income is spent on maintaining or increasing the search ranking. Propertiesdirect also advertise selected properties in other publications and list their properties for private sale in the Home.co.uk Search Index.
Propertiesdirect has been the subject of a number of articles on Private House Sales in the national press (Financial Times, Daily Express etc) and continues to be active in PR for the Private Property Sales sector.
