Family income benefit is a type of life insurance policy offers the holder's beneficiaries an alternative form of payment to a lump sum. Instead beneficiaries of a family income benefit will receive a regular income for the rest of the mortgage term. This can be cheaper than a life insurance policy that pays out a lump sum.
