Homes24 was launched in October 2006 by regional newspaper group Archant with a view to delivering big benefits to house buyers, house sellers and estate agents.
The improved site has been developed in association with local estate agents, and offers a range of up-to-date search and mapping functions to help home seekers pinpoint their perfect property for sale or rent.
A number of estate agents were consulted during the creation of the site to ensure that it delivered the best service for local agents. Martin Cunningham, chief executive of Norfolk agents Howards said, "We have been working with Archant to help shape the new Homes24 property website, and the new site is a considerable step forward." Howards is Norfolk's largest estate agent with 18 branches.
Another leading figure in the property market who has been involved in the development of Homes24 is Chris Hall, the ex-president of the National Association of Estate Agents.
"We know that the Internet is becoming much more useful to people who are looking at buying and selling property, and we have helped to produce the new site, which I feel is a tremendous site," said Mr Hall.
This feeling has been echoed by users of the site which has seen it user base grow by more than 300% since its launch. A recent survey of Homes24 users showed that:

Homes24 is promoted extensively within Archant's own 120 newspaper titles and also through external media as well as search-engine and email marketing campaigns. This is all aimed at driving greater response for local agents helping them to receive more enquiries and instructions and is now proven to help promote your brand and drive sellers and buyers direct to agents' websites.
